CHRISTIANITY STARTED WITH 7 UFO-TYPE ENCOUNTERS
1.  Angel tells engaged couple that the virgin girl is pregnant.
2.  Blinding light from sky frightens shepherds with strange news.
3.  A slow moving star guides astrologers to a king's hideout.
4.  A bright flying object and a voice from space at baptism of Jesus.
5.  Mountain top explosion of glory deafens and blinds 3 hikers.
6.  Jesus slowly levitates into space craft cloud that rockets into outer space.
7.  Midget ufos like tongues of fire invade a religious meeting.

Do you suppose that Satan invented UFOs to counterfeit the miracles of Jesus?  We know that he wants people to reject Jesus, and turn away from the Bible truths of our loving God and Savior. We know he invents many counterfeits. --- As the driving instructer warned his students, "Be alert and you won't get hurt!" so the Bible warns us against the many dangerous maneuvers of Satan.

1.  Angel tells engaged couple that the virgin girl is pregnant.
Our first story is about the miraculous conception of Jesus. How the Creator God of the universe would plant the seed of divinity in the womb of a woman. --
if you have never read these stories before I would suggest you read the whole chapter in your Bible.  I will give you the verses that relate to the supernatural encounters.  The first story is from Luke chapter 1 and here are the verses 26-38 from  the Living Bible paraphrased:
"The following month God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a village in Galilee, to a virgin, Mary, engaged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of King David.
Gabriel appeared to her and said, ``Congratulations, favored lady! The Lord is with you!''
Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean.
``Don't be frightened, Mary,'' the angel told her, ``for God has decided to wonderfully bless you!  Very soon now, you will become pregnant and have a baby boy, and you are to name him `Jesus.'  He shall be very great and shall be called the Son of God. And the Lord God shall give him the throne of his ancestor David.  And he shall reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom shall never end!''
Mary asked the angel, ``But how can I have a baby? I am a virgin.''
The angel replied, ``The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of God shall overshadow you; so the baby born to you will be utterly holy--the Son of God. Furthermore, six months ago your Aunt Elizabeth--`the barren one,' they called her--became pregnant in her old age! For every promise from God shall surely come true.''
Mary said, ``I am the Lord's servant, and I am willing to do whatever he wants. May everything you said come true.'' And then the angel disappeared.

Amazing! Imagine if you were a single teen-ager and a "Gabriel" would suddenly appear and tell you that you would soon become pregnant!
He would give you his message as a blessing and then disappear.
Only a studious Hebrew girl would have been able to understand the message as a blessing.  And only a humble obedient girl would have accepted it as her duty and privilege.
The rest of this story tells how this news shocks Joseph and how an angel calms his fears.  It is recorded in Matthew 1:18-25  (LB)

18-25  These are the facts concerning the birth of Jesus Christ: His mother, Mary, was engaged to be married to Joseph. But while she was still a virgin she became pregnant by the Holy Spirit.
Then Joseph, her fianc`ea, being a man of stern principle, decided to break the engagement but to do it quietly, as he didn't want to publicly disgrace her.  As he lay awake considering this, he fell into a dream, and saw an angel standing beside him. ``Joseph, son of David,'' the angel said, ``don't hesitate to take Mary as your wife! For the child within her has been conceived by the Holy Spirit.
And she will have a Son, and you shall name him Jesus (meaning `Savior'), for he will save his people from their sins. This will fulfill God's message through his prophets-- `Listen! The virgin shall conceive a child! She shall give birth to a Son, and he shall be called ``Emmanuel''  (meaning ``God is with us'').'''
When Joseph awoke, he did as the angel commanded, and brought Mary home to be his wife,  but she remained a virgin until her Son was born; and Joseph named him ``Jesus.''

Look! There lies Emmanuel, God with us! Divinity in human form; the holy child conceived by the Holy Spirit; a perfect lamb, Son of the living God, Eternal Savior of the world!
Look! There lies the creator of the universe, "the mighty God, the ever- lasting Father, the Prince of Peace."
"Of his government and peace there shall be no end...The zeal of the Lord shall perform this." Isaiah 9:6-7.
Born in a manger! How could it be?

Because of taxation Joseph & Mary went to Bethlehem.  Mary is about to give birth and there are no vacancies so they rush her to a cow shed where there is some hay in a stable, and     there the King of Heaven is born!    .

#2 - Blinding light from sky frightens shepherds with strange news.
This next story is from Luke 2.  I will give you the verses that show the night-time sighting of the blinding light that turns out to be a birth announcement from the angels of the Lord.
The record starts with verse 7 and goes to verse 20.

And she gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him in a blanket and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the village inn.
That night some shepherds were in the fields outside the village, guarding their flocks of sheep. Suddenly an angel appeared among them, and the landscape shone bright with the glory of the Lord. They were badly frightened, but the angel reassured them.``Don't be afraid!'' he said. ``I bring you the most joyful news ever announced, and it is for everyone!
The Savior--yes, the Messiah, the Lord--has been born tonight in Bethlehem!   How will you recognize him? You will find a baby wrapped in a blanket, lying in a manger!''
Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others--the armies of heaven--praising God: ``Glory to God in the highest heaven,'' they sang, ``and peace on earth for all those pleasing him.''
When this great army of angels had returned again to heaven, the shepherds said to each other, ``Come on! Let's go to Bethlehem! Let's see this wonderful thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.''  They ran to the village and found their way to Mary and Joseph. And there was the baby, lying in the manger.  The shepherds told everyone what had happened and what the angel had said to them about this child.
All who heard the shepherds' story expressed astonishment, but Mary quietly treasured these things in her heart and often thought about them.
Then the shepherds went back again to their fields and flocks, praising God for the visit of the angels, and because they had seen the child, just as the angel had told them.

.
The shepherds, blinded by the bright light of the unidentified object, are terrified. Then a shining space angel  makes a wonderfull announcement, "Your Jesus, Eternal Triumphant Savior has been born in Bethlehem."

# 3.  A slow moving star guides astrologers to a king's hideout.
This third story is about a night time UFO sighting that astronomers and wise men could not identify. It appeared to stay stationary in the sky when all the other stars and planets appeared to move. A number of star-gazers who were also students of prophecy decided it was a sign that a new King of the Jews had been born and they would seek him out.  They would follow the star by night and rest during the day. This they did.

Read the good and the bad story as found in your Bible - Matthew 2:1-16 -
Below are those verses from the LB (= Living Bible)

"Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem, in Judea, during the reign of King Herod.
At about that time some astrologers from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking, `Where is the newborn King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in far-off eastern lands, and have come to worship him.''

King Herod was deeply disturbed by their question, and all Jerusalem was filled with rumors. He called a meeting of the Jewish religious leaders.

"Did the prophets tell us where the Messiah would be born?'' he asked.
``Yes, in Bethlehem,'' they said, ``for this is what the prophet Micah wrote:  `O little town of Bethlehem, you are not just an unimportant Judean village, for a Governor shall rise from you to rule my people Israel.'''
Then Herod sent a private message to the astrologers, asking them to come to see him; at this meeting he found out from them the exact time when they first saw the star. Then he told them, ``Go to Bethlehem and search for the child. And when you find him, come back and tell me so that I can go and worship him too!''

After this interview the astrologers started out again. And look! The star appeared to them again, standing over Bethlehem.  Their joy knew no bounds!  Entering the house where the baby and Mary his mother were, they threw themselves down before him, worshiping. Then they opened their presents and gave him gold, frankincense and myrrh.

But when they returned to their own land, they didn't go through Jerusalem to report to Herod, for God had warned them in a dream to go home another way.

After they were gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. ``Get up and flee to Egypt with the baby and his mother,'' the angel said, ``and stay there until I tell you to return, for King Herod is going to try to kill the child.''
That same night he left for Egypt with Mary and the baby, and stayed there until King Herod's death. This fulfilled the prophet's prediction, ``I have called my Son from Egypt.''

Herod was furious when he learned that the astrologers had disobeyed him. Sending soldiers to Bethlehem, he ordered them to kill every baby boy two years old and under...

# 4.  A bright flying object and a voice from space at baptismal.
Our fourth story is of a bright flying object and a voice at the time of Jesus' baptism.  Read Matthew 3:13-17 LB --

13-17.  Then Jesus went from Galilee to the Jordan River to be baptized there by John.
John didn't want to do it.``This isn't proper,'' he said. ``I am the one who needs to be baptized by you.''
But Jesus said, ``Please do it, for I must do all that is right.'' So then John baptized him.
After his baptism, as soon as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened to him and he saw the Spirit of God coming down in the form of a dove.  And a voice from heaven said, ``This is my beloved Son, and I am wonderfully pleased with him.''

# 5.  Mountain top explosion of glory deafens and blinds 3 hikers.
Our fifth story is a mountain top experience for three witness. Out of a shining cloud booms the voice of God. Jesus is transfigured and two space visitors talk to Him. see Mat.17:1-9 NKJ below:

verses 1-9 -  Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, and brought them up on a high mountain by themselves, and was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.''
While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!''
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid.  But Jesus came and touched them and said, "Arise, and do not be afraid.''    And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.
Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, "Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.''
# 6.  Jesus slowly levitates into space craft that rockets into outer space.
The sixth story is of a crowd of people who watch Jesus slowly levitate up and up into a Jet cloud that speeds away out of sight. This happened forty days after his resurrection Jesus led his followers up the trail to Mt. Olivet and from there he preached his last sermon before he ascended into heaven. Here is the story ---
 * Acts 1:4. NKJ -  And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, "which,'' He said, "you have heard from Me;
 5.  "for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.''
 6.  Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, "Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?''
 7.  And He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
 8.  "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.''

9.  Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
 10.  And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel,
 11.  who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.''
 12.  Then they returned to Jerusalem from the Mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem.."

7.  Midget ufos like tongues of fire invade religious meeting.
The seventh story tells about ufo tongues of fire that buzzed over the heads of Jesus' disciples.  The result of this experience was evangelistic.
In one day 3000 people were baptized! Many Jewish priests were baptized.  And as the Jews went back to their own towns and countries they spred the message about Jesus. Acts 4:4 declares that "about 5000 men were baptized."
Please read the complete 2nd chapter of Acts in order to see the big picture. It is all about Jesus. Below are selected verses: (SEV)  ---

 1.  When the day of Pentecost  came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly, a noise came from the sky. It sounded like a strong wind blowing. This noise filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw something which looked like flames of fire separating and staying over each one of them.

 4.  They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and they began to speak different languages; the Spirit was giving them the power to do this.
 5.  There were some devout Jewish men staying in Jerusalem at this time. These men were from every country in the world.
 6.  A large group of them came together because they heard the noise. They were confused. The apostles were speaking, and every man heard in his own language.
 7.  The Jewish people were all amazed at this. They didn't understand how the apostles could do this. They said, ``Look! These men whom we hear speaking are all from Galilee!
 8.  But each of us is hearing them in our own native language. :
 9.  Parthians, Medes, Elamites, those living in Mesopotamia, from Judea, from Cappadocia, from Pontus, from Asia,
 10.  from Phrygia, from Pamphylia, from Egypt, from parts of Libya around Cyrene, visitors from Rome,
 11.  Cretans, Arabians. Some of us  Jews. Others are converts . We can hear these men in our own languages! We can all understand the wonderful things they are saying about God.''
 12.  The people were all amazed but confused. They asked each other, ``What does this mean?''
 13.  Other people were laughing at the apostles. They were claiming that the apostles were drunk.
 14.  Then Peter stood up with the other eleven apostles. He spoke loudly:  ``My Jewish brothers and all of you who are staying in Jerusalem, listen to me. I will tell you something you need to know. Listen carefully...
 17.  ``God says: `In the last days,  I will pour out My Spirit upon all people.  Your sons and your daughters will prophesy.  Your young men will see visions.  Your old men will have special dreams.
 18.  At that time, I will pour out My Spirit  upon My servants, both men and women,  and they will prophesy.
 19.  I will show amazing things in the sky above.  I will do miracles on the earth below.  There will be blood, fire, and thick smoke.
 22.  ``Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus from Nazareth was a very special man. God clearly showed this to you. God proved this by the powerful and amazing things which He did through Jesus among you. You know this is true.
 23.  You killed this man Jesus by handing him over to lawless men. They nailed him to a cross. But God knew ahead of time that all this would occur; it was part of His plan which He made long ago.
 24.  Jesus suffered the pains of death, but God set him free. God raised Jesus up from death. It was impossible for death to hold him...

 36.  ``Therefore, all the people of Israel can be sure of this one thing: God has made Jesus both Lord and Messiah, this man whom you nailed to the cross!''
 37.  When the people heard this, they felt a sharp, cutting pain in their conscience. They asked Peter and the other apostles, ``What should we do, brothers?''
 38.  Then Peter answered, ``Change your hearts and each one of you must be immersed by the authority of Jesus the Messiah,  so that your sins may be forgiven. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
 39.  This promise is for you and for your children. It is also for people who are far away,  for everyone whom the Lord our God may call.''
 40.  Peter was warning them with many other words; he was encouraging them, saying, ``Be saved from this twisted generation of people!''
 41.  Then those people who accepted what Peter said were immersed. On that day, about 3,000 people were added .

The most wonderful story of all is the simple story of Jesus and his love.
Jesus built a bridge of 7 pillars of unselfish self-sacrifising love across the awful Gulf of Sin.  The devil hates every one of these acts of Jesus and so he has made counterfiets and lies to every one.  So be careful and watch out.   Test every pillar of doctrine to the Law and to the testimony of Jesus Christ.   May God bless you as you study the Word.

It is very important for us to study and understand why it was necessary for Jesus to take these six steps, six pillars of the bridge for our salvation.  And the final seventh pillar "His Return" will soon take place as He returns in glory as King of kings and Lord of lords.

1. Jesus came from heaven. The Creator God became a second Adam.
2. Jesus was born holy and lived a wholly holy life.
3. He died a self-sacrificing death. It was not murder by man or God!
4. Jesus arose from the tomb by his own divine power.
5. He ascended bodily, literally, and visibly in a cloud.
6. Jesus now mediates for sinners. Mary mediation is Satan's lie.
7.And finally Jesus will return in a prescribed manner.
Satan has tried to counterfeit all the other miracles of Jesus and he will counterfiet Christ's Return.  No other man or angel can make any of these seven steps for us.  May God help us to study and accept what Jesus has revealed to us.
